I've purchased several Shenandoah chimes over the past 20 years. Their tones are very pleasant and soothing. They are well-constructed, although as I often have high winds, the strings take a lot of abuse and, while I'm often able to mend them, they eventually exceed my ability. The four I purchased this time are to have on hand for when I need to replace the current ones because I never want to be without them. The BuyChimes pricing and service are excellent. I love the sound of chimes, and these sound lovely! I can tell they are made well. Shipping was fast and they were packed well. So far I've tried these in three different locations because I want to hear them more than I am hearing them. I haven't yet changed the length of the striker as recommended. I am a little disappointed that they don't ring as much as I would like, but it might be due to the way the trees are on my property. I wonder if the striker could be heavier though. I have an older set of 36 inch chimes that are on a hook against my house and those chime more often. I don't know if the length makes a difference, or if it is just the location. I might recommend purchasing the longer chimes rather than shorter.

My friend lost her daughter waaaayyyy toooooo early. There was a poem in the daughter's memorial service remembrance "bulletin" that my friend picked. I had Buy Chimes engrave the wind sail (the thing that you hold to ring the chimes) with pieces of the poem. My friend loved the chime and it's beautiful melody and the engraving!!!!!
